Get onto the Hume Highway heading north (eg coming off the Western Ring road at Craigieburn).
Drive approx 27km heading north and veer left off the Hume Highway onto the Northern Highway to Wallan / Kilmore / Heathcote / Echuca.
Drive for approximately 1 hour north-west passing through Wallan, Kilmore, Pyalong (bypassed), and Tooborac and to Heathcote.
On the other side of Heathcote take the right hand turn for signs saying Elmore and Echuca. This is a sharp turn so keep your eyes peeled.
Drive for approximately 30 minutes in a northerly direction and you will arrive into a T junction. Take the sign left to Elmore.
Turn right at Elmore and travel north for approximately 10 minutes to Rochester and then another 20 minutes to Echuca.
Upon your approach to Echuca on the Northern Highway, take the second left on the roundabout. You are now on Ogilvie Avenue (still the Northern Highway).
Take a left turn following all signs for Echuca, pretty much as you see KFC on your right.
You are now on High Street, Echuca. Drive 2km and the Shamrock Hotel is on your left.
